Question

What is the nature of plot of V vs T for a gas according to Charles’ law?

Solution

Since according to Charles’ law, V = KT, therefore at constant pressure, if the volumes of a definite mass of a gas at different temperatures are plotted, taking V as the ordinate and T as abscissa then a straight line passing through the origin is obtained.
