Question

What do you mean by focus of a spherical mirror?

Solution

A beam of rays, parallel to the principal axis of a spherical mirror will, after reflection, either converge to (as in the case of a concave mirror) or appear to diverge from (as in the case of a convex mirror) a fixed point situated on the principal axis. This fixed point is called the focus of the spherical mirror.
