Is earth’s atmosphere uniform everywhere?

Yes and no. The composition of the atmosphere remains relatively similar around the world but the atmosphere is differentiated into four structural layers on the basis of their thermal character. In order, from earth’s surface to the boundary with space, the four layers are the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere and thermosphere.
