How much work is done in moving a 500uc charge between two pointsonanequipotential surface?
Solution
If VA and VB be the potential of two points, then work done to move a charge Q is given by,
W = (VA – VB). Q
On an equipotential surface VA = VB = 0.
W = 0
Hence, net work done to move a charge between any two points on an equipotential surface is zero.
