Question

A concave lens is used in spectacles to correct myopia-Why?

Solution

A myopic person cannot see far off objects clearly because its image is formed in front of retina. When a concave lens is placed in front of eyes, the rays are diverged by the concave lens and the image is formed at the retina. So, a concave lens is used in spectacles to correct myopia.
